Internships
Child Rights Connect offers 6-month internships in Geneva. Internships are for university students who are interested in working on children’s rights at an international level. As temporary members of our team, interns are involved in most areas of the Secretariat’s work.
Our internships are advertised both on this website, social media and Cagi externally.

CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS
CHILD RIGHTS CONNECT GENERAL ASSEMBLY
Child Rights Connect is a Geneva-based network of 108 child rights NGOs from around the world that envisions a world in which children have their human rights protected, promoted, and fulfilled.
Child Rights Connect is organising its General Assembly meeting where our member organisations come together to approve the network’s plans and activities and elect people to various key roles. This year, the General Assembly statutory meeting will take place in hybrid format (online and in-person, at our office) on the 24th and 25th of June 2024.
Would you like to help us ensure that this event is successful?
We are looking for several volunteers to help us with the General Assembly for a week, between 16 and 25 June inclusive. In our experience, the support from volunteers, ranging from logistical support to communications and IT support, is critical to ensuring the smooth running and effectiveness of this.
If you are looking for an opportunity to get in contact with child rights organisations, to network and meet children’s rights defenders, including children, from around the world, please apply by using the registration form on our website. The deadline to apply is the 5th of June.
Given our limited resources, and the nature of this opportunity as volunteer work, please note that we are unable to provide any remuneration/fees and to cover any expenses.

Since January 2013, according to Swiss law, only those with a valid work or student permit for Switzerland can be considered for internship positions in Geneva. Non-Swiss citizens can be issued a short-term work permit only with the proven financial support of a guarantor, who must be resident in Switzerland. Child Rights Connect can therefore only consider potential interns with a valid work or student permit for Switzerland.
