A new initiative from our Children’s Advisory Team (CAT) invites children and young people under 18 to share their messages and creative work for the Human Rights Council’s Annual Day on the Rights of the Child. This year’s focus is on children in armed conflict, and the CAT is collecting contributions that reflect different views, experiences, and hopes.

Through art and personal stories, the CAT aims to amplify children’s voices, showing how they see the world, how conflict impacts them, and what they want adults and decisionmakers to understand. Submissions may include:

  • Drawings or paintings
  • Poems or short texts
  • Personal messages or statements
  • Photos of handicrafts or creative objects
  • Any artistic expression that speaks from the heart

The selections will be made by the CAT and will be included in a digital exhibition (the website will go live on 9 March 2026)

Deadline for Submission: 1 March 2026

Submissions can be uploaded here.
