CAT Bureau Presents Annual Update to the General Assembly of Child Rights Connect

On 17 June 2025, Layan, Tahera, and Denis, members of the Children’s Advisory Team (CAT) Bureau, successfully presented the team’s report to the General Assembly of Child Rights Connect. Their presentation highlighted key activities, achievements, and milestones from the past year, showcasing the impact of child-led advocacy, peer engagement and participation across the network.

These included the CAT’s submission to the High Commissioner’s call for input on an Optional Protocol to the CRC, the digital protection of child human rights defenders, contributions to Council of Europe projects on Comprehensive Sexuality Education and child participation in health-related decision-making including the participation of the child advisors at the Mid-term Review Conference of the CoE Strategy on the Rights of the Child, and advocacy on children and armed conflict, amplifying the voices of over 200 children.
