CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS

CHILD RIGHTS CONNECT GENERAL ASSEMBLY AND 40TH ANNIVERSARY CONFERENCE

Child Rights Connect is a Geneva-based network of 100 child rights NGOs from around the world that envisions a world in which children have their human rights protected, promoted, and fulfilled.

Child Rights Connect is organising its General Assembly meeting where our member organisations come together to approve the network’s plans and activities and elect people to various key roles. This year, the General Assembly statutory meeting will take place in hybrid format (online and in-person, at our office) on 25 May 2023.

This year also marks the 40th anniversary of the creation of Child Rights Connect. On this occasion, we are organising a global conference, “Changing the narrative: promoting positive change with children around 40 years of civil society advocacy in Geneva”, which will gather hundreds of child rights actors from the around the world to reflect on how to better support the child rights movement globally. The conference will take place in hybrid format (online and in-person, at the venue of the World Council of Churches in Geneva) on 26 May 2023.

Would you like to help us ensure that these events are successful?

We are looking for several volunteers to help us for two weeks, between 15 and 26 May inclusive. In our experience, the support from volunteers, ranging from logistical support to communications and IT support, is critical to ensuring the smooth running and effectiveness of these events.

If you are looking for an opportunity to get in contact with child rights organisations, to network and meet children’s rights defenders, including children, from around the world, please apply by using the below registration form. The deadline to apply is 7 May.

Given our limited resources, and the nature of this opportunity as volunteer work, please note that we are unable to provide any remuneration/fees and to cover any expenses.

We are looking forward to reading your application. Thank you 😊
