Denis’s participation in a side event at the 59th session of the UN Human Rights Council
Denis, a child advisor at Child Rights Connect, participated in a side event at the 59th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council, which focused on ‘Children’s Voices on Free Pre-Primary and Secondary Education’ and took place on Friday, 20 June. It was organised by the Permanent Mission of Luxembourg and the Permanent Mission of Bulgaria, with the sponsor of the Permanent Missions of Armenia, Cyprus, the Dominican Republic, Panama, Romania, Sierra Leone, and Human Rights Watch, Liberian National Children’s Forum, Plan International, and World Organization for Early Childhood Education.
Denis presented the results of a survey conducted by the Children’s Advisory Team, which captured the views of 1,297 children from 12 countries in support of an Optional Protocol on the Right to Free Pre-Primary and Secondary Education.
