We would like to share an exciting opportunity for child participation with you within the framework of the UN campaign about the 75th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR75). In cooperation with the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights of the United Nations and together with our Children’s Advisory Team, we have developed a survey for children to inform the vision of High Commissioner on the future of human rights. The survey is available in English, French and Spanish also provides links to child-friendly resources such as the Convention on the Rights of the Child, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and an information sheet on the High Commissioner and his team.

The survey can be filled out individually or on behalf of a group of children. It will be open until 26 September 2023 and accessible via the following link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/H83BWWZ. If you plan to facilitate a workshop with children and prepare the replies as a group, you can also download the survey questions in one document.

During the autumn, our Children’s Advisory Team and children’s rights experts will be looking into the replies of the survey and the outcomes will be shared in a public document. The UDHR75 campaign will be closed with a high-level event on 11-12 December 2023 happening in 4 locations and online.

As we would like to reach as many children as possible, we would be grateful if you can further share this opportunity with colleagues in your network and with children!
